The Hate U Give Event 3/16/17

Hey book lovers!

So I am super excited to tell you guys that I was able to go to The Hate U Give event atIMG_1870.JPG Books of Wonder. The event was absolutely amazing and there were so many people in attendance. Angie Thomas, author of THUG, was there in conversation with Adam Silvera. Angie and Adam in conversation was the absolute best thing ever. Angie spoke a lot her book and the inspirations of it. Following this, there was a Beyonce portion. Angie had to recite the words from a few songs that Adam chose. It was awesome.

While at the event, I met some really nice people. I met a really nice girl names Lilly. She IMG_1864.JPGwas super sweet. I also got to meet two of my favorite booktubers, Emmma Books and Michael Book Lion! Both of them were really nice and I was also able to take pictures with them. I was able to speak to Emma for a while and she was so sweet. I’m glad I was able to meet her.

Overall, this event was amazing. I’m glad I went. It was my third book signing and honestly, the best one that I’ve been to.

My review for The Hate U Give will be posted soon. Stay Tuned!

Books of Wonder Event 2/28/17

Hey book lovers!

This post is super late, I know. But I want to tell you guys about the event I went to at Books of Wonder.

So, I attended the book signing for A Conjuring of Light (Victoria Schwab), Windwitch (Susan Dennard), Game of Shadows (Erika Lewis), and The Last Harvest (Kim Liggett). I originally ended up at Books of Wonder that day because it was the release day for The Hate U Give (Angie Thomas). Unfortunately they did not have the book in stock yet so I was unable to get it that day. But fortunately the day wasn’t a waste IMG_1586.JPG.jpegbecause I was able to sit and listen to this amazing panel of authors.I actually hadn’t read any books by any of these authors’ but I did buy many of their books that day. I was able to buy all three books in Victoria Schwab’s A Darker Shade of Magic trilogy. I was also able to get a copy of Windwitch and Game of Shadows. I was unable to get a copy of Kim Liggett’s book because I was spending too much money that day, but hopefully I am able to get it soon.

The event was overall a great experience. It was very nice to listen to each author and they were all extremely nice.IMG_1584.JPG.jpeg

I was also able to meet great people. I go to book events alone so it was nice to have people to talk books with. They were really nice and I had a good time talking to them.

This book signing was my second event and I really plan to attend more because it has been nothing short of amazing each time I went.

Here are some pictures of me with the beautiful authors.IMG_1594.JPG.jpeg

February Wrap Up & March TBR

source.gifHey book lovers!

February is officially over and we are now into March. That means a new monthly start to different reading goals. A new start is a good thing for people like me who barely read the month before.

This month’s goal is to read a total of six books. I’m not very good at meeting my reading goals, especially TBR goals. Last month I only read one book and that was To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han (review coming soon).

This month’s tbr has a total of 5 books. I hope to hit this goal but knowing me, I’d be lucky to finish 1 book. But let’s not be negative lol. Here’s my tbr. 🙂
