2017 Reading Challenges

Hey book lovers!

This year is almost up and I am here to announce all of the reading challenges that I will be participating in. I usually never complete reading challenges, but that never stops me from entering them. I plan to make this a big reading year for me.

For 2016, I completed my GoodReads reading challenge with only 20 books. For 2017, I plan to read 50 books; hopefully much more than that.

So here are the reading challenges that I plan to participate in. Feel free to join in on the fun!

I honestly do not know who is hosting this readathon. I found this on Twitter and knew that I just had to join. If you know who is hosting, please tag them in the comment section. Please and Thank You!

This challenge is hosted by Andi over at Andi’s ABCs. I plan to get to 3rd base in this challenge by reading 11-15 books. This is completely doable. I do not have a TBR made yet but I will be working on it as soon as possible.

I attempted this challenge last year and failed. This year I won’t fail. I will be posting updates for this challenge on my blog as well as my Instagram and Twitter.

Again, feel free to join in on the fun. If you want to buddy read for any of these feel free to comment. 🙂

Dumbedore’s Army Readathon!

dareadathon-sign-up.png

Hello book lovers!

I am here to announce to you all my involvement in Dumbledore’s Army Readathon. This readathon is Harry Potter themed and will be a safe space for readers to read and discuss diverse books.  It was created by Aentee over at Read at Midnight, who also previously hosted the Pokemon ReadThemAllThon. If you would like to sign up for this readathon, click the link and check out her sign up post.

The readathon will take place from January 1-17. What a great way to bring in the New Year! Did I mention the best part? Each point you earn all goes towards your House points. So if you are terrible at readathons, no need to worry because you have your fellow House members working towards the same goals. So with that said, any fellow Ravenclaws out there feel free to join in on the fun!

This week I’m doing Christmas songs. This weeks songs are Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and the 8 days of Christmas, both by Destiny’s Child. Hope you enjoy! 🙂

Music Mondays

Hello to my fellow book lovers!

We are at the close of a very challenging year and preparing to enter a [hopefully] much better year. I want to start off by apologizing for disappearing over the past month or so. I got really busy with work and school. I was also busy with rebuilding my etsy page, Creations by Keri. So without further ado, let’s get into this weeks Music Monday.

This week I chose an old song. I discovered this song, like many songs, from Glee. I recently decided to rewatch the show on Netflix and of course, I’m loving it. This weeks song is Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler. I will also add the glee version. 🙂 Continue reading
